You Are the Vehicle

Driving tonight I had this metaphor come to me-

Navigating your purpose and mission is kind of like driving on a parkway. People might be going faster than you, slower than you, around you, speeding, lollygagging… it doesn’t matter what they’re doing! You just have to remain focused on your vehicle, where you’re going and what you’re doing.

Think about what a freaking disaster and distraction it would be if you worried about everybody else on the road?! You’d drive yourself absolutely crazy!

Speed up, slow down, change lanes, and do it all over again. OY!

In this era, with social media showing all of the highlights of everybody else’s lives, it’s so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing. Feelings like- am I doing enough? Am I doing the right thing? Is this the right move? But she did that, what if I do that too? Friend.. LET THAT SHIT GO.

Imagine you gave up your destination on the parkway to follow someone else- you’d never get to your own destination! And in the game of life, our destination is our purpose!

So stop looking to compare yourself to others and focus solely on what you’re doing, where you’re going and why!

That’s when the magic will happen. When you shift the focus from others to focus solely on yourself!

You are the vehicle, the drive is the journey and your mission is the destination.
